Cara Delevingne and Alexander Skarsgard are to star in ‘Fever Heart’.
The pair have joined the cast of the gothic thriller, which will be directed by Ben Briand and tells the story of a female circus shooter, played by the model, who goes on the road with an amnesiac (Skarsgard) to try to recover his lost memories.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two main characters will be pursued by aptly-named villain Blood Lieberman, but it is not known who will portray him.
Michele Bennett and Nadine de Barros will executive produce the motion picture, while Margot Hand and Matt Dooley will produce.
Filming will start in 2017 from a script co-written by Briand and Kevin W. Koehler.
Nadine believes Skarsgard and Delevingne are "perfect" fits for the two main roles, and she also can’t wait to team up with Briand.
She said: "I’m a huge fan of Ben’s work. I’m overjoyed at the opportunity to work with him.
"Ben and Kevin’s script had me on the edge of my seat, and Alexander and Cara are the perfect match for this material."
But before ‘Fever Heart’, Delevingne will star in Luc Besson’s ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ in July 2017 alongside Dane DeHaan.
The sci-fi movie is set in the year 2700 on a planet-sized space station called Alpha.
Besson recently said: "It’s about two space agents who go through time and space … and they’re so cute. I fell in love with Laureline (Delevingne), but I wanted to be Valerian (DeHaan) … 20 years ago, I was weird. 20 years later, the world got as weird as me."
