Caprice was forced to quit ‘The Jump’ after undergoing life-saving surgery on a brain tumour.
The 45-year-old model had to sit out of the extreme sports show in February after she was struck down with a mystery illness and subsequently withdrew from the competition held on the Austrian slopes.
And, now she has revealed the reason she had to back out of the competition was that she discovered she had a thumb-sized tumour during filming.
Caprice has thanked the team of doctors on the Channel 4 programme for advising her to seek medical help.
In an interview with Hello! magazine, she explained: "I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I found out while I was competing in the show and boy, was it more horrific than any of the challenges.
"I had headaches that were not going away and my vision was beginning to act up so the show’s production insisted I see their doctor."
The blonde beauty immediately thought about her three-year-old twin sons Jax and Jett – whom she has with her long-term partner Ty Comfort – when she found out the devastating news.
She said: "My first thought was for my two little boys. I’m their rock and keep my family together. It was the scariest moment I’d ever experienced."
The businesswoman also fractured her ribs whilst on the show.
She said recently: "You are training eight hours a day so I’ve been tired and had bad falls, aches and pains and bruises. I hurt my head and fractured my ribs when I was practicing the ski jump. As I hit the airbag, my skis bashed against me."
The By Caprice Lingerie founder battled on through the competition, regardless of the pain, because at that stage of the contest Sir Bradley Wiggins and Vogue Williams pulled out due to life-changing injuries.
She explained at the time: "There’s nothing much you can do about that – you just have to bandage it up. Everyone else is so courageous and I don’t want to look like a wuss so I just have to get on with it."
