Calvin Harris calls Taylor Swift an ‘amazing lyric writer’

Calvin Harris has praised his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift as an "amazing lyric writer" after it emerged she wrote his song ‘This Is What You Came For’.
The 32-year-old DJ has complimented his former flame on her incredible ability to pen smash hits after it was revealed she’d sat down and written the lyrics before sharing it with him while they were dating.
Taking to his Twitter account on Wednesday (13.07.16), he tweeted along with an upside down smiley face after the report was confirmed: "And she sings on a little bit of it too. Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual (sic)."
Taylor’s representative confirmed she’d written the song under the fictional name Nils Sjoberg.
He told the MailOnline: "Taylor Swift wrote "This Is What You Came For" under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg."
The ‘Shake It Off’ singer ended her relationship with the hunk early last month and the "breaking point" in their 15-month romance reportedly came after he was "disrespectful" by saying he’d never work with her while promoting the track.
The pair were keen to release the song together but feared their relationship would overshadow the song, so Calvin brought in Rihanna to record the vocals.
After splitting from the ‘Summer’ hitmaker, the ‘Blank Space’ singer is now dating Tom Hiddleston, much to Calvin’s fury, and her friends have now decided to speak out about the song because they think the DJ is being unfair to her.
TMZ explained: "[Her friends are] sick of Calvin trashing Taylor and feel he should be thanking her for quietly giving him a smash hit."
