Callum Jones and Molly Smith have been dumped from the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The 23-year-old scaffolder and the 25-year-old model have missed out on a place in Sunday’s (23.02.20) final of the ITV2 reality show, as they were booted from the South African villa during Wednesday’s (19.02.20) episode.
After the voting public declared the pair, alongside Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu, and Natalia Zoppa and Jamie Clayton – who left the show on Tuesday (18.02.20) – as the least compatible couples, the remaining islanders were then tasked with picking one couple to save, and they chose Mike and Priscilla.
But Callum and Molly aren’t too disheartened to be leaving the show, as they’re sure they’ve found love with one another.
Speaking after her exit, Molly said: "I do [think we have a future together]. We get on really well, we’ve got similar interests, he always makes me laugh. I feel at ease with him, if someone makes me feel like that it’s a good sign. My family will love him. My dad will love him. He’ll just have to try and impress my big brothers!
"I’m nervous about meeting his family, I get nervous in general about meeting parents. I’m sure it’ll be alright, he said they’ll like me."
Whilst Callum added: "We’ve got dates planned and everything. First thing we want to do is walk the dogs – we’ve both got dogs. I’ve got two Pugs and Molly’s got a Pomeranian."
And Callum – who left Shaughna Phillips single when he brought back Molly from Casa Amor – can see himself making things "official" with the blonde beauty, but insists he isn’t putting a time frame on their romance.
Both Molly and Callum want to see Paige Turley and Finley Tapp walk away with the £50,000 prize at the end of this week, as they believe the pair are the "most genuine" couple in the villa.
Asked who the most genuine couple is, Callum said: "Finn and Paige – 100 per cent. I want them to win."
And Molly agreed, saying: "Finn and Paige, 100 per cent. I think they are the most genuine, down-to-earth couple in there. It just seems really natural with them two. I want them to win. They were super close with Shaughna too and even with that whole situation, they’ve still been so lovely to me."
