Caitlyn Jenner gets along "very well" with Kanye West.
The ‘I Am Cait’ star – who was known as Bruce Jenner before her transition last year – is thankful her step-daughter Kim Kardashian has such a devoted husband and she also thinks the 39-year-old rapper is a great father to their children, three-year-old North and seven-month-old Saint.
She said: "Kanye and I get along very well. He treats Kim very well, that’s what I care about. He’s always been a good dad with the kids.
"He’s been very good when it comes to my issues. He just loves me to death."
Kanye asked Caitlyn to appear in the video to his song ‘Famous’ – which featured the rapper and his wife in bed with various lookalikes and waxworks of people including Taylor Swift, Donald Trump, Ray J, Bill Cosby, former US president George W Bush, Chris Brown, and Amber Rose – and though he and Kim warned her it would be controversial, the 66-year-old former Olympian was happy to take part.
Speaking on ‘Any Given Wednesday’, she recalled: "He said, ‘We’ve got some mannequins,’ and this and that, ‘It’s about fame, and you’re the most famous person in the world.’
"Kim warned me that there was a shot in the video that may be controversial in it, with all these life-like mannequins of all these famous people in a 40-foot-long bed.
"I shot it that morning, the next day they edited it, and the following day it was at Staples Centre.
"He’s great at stirring it up, getting the pot going. And he certainly did with that picture."
Despite the global success of her family, Caitlyn still believes she was more famous after winning decathlon gold at the Olympic games in 1976.
She said: "1976 was kind of an interesting year, and the games in ’76 were the highest-rated games of all time. Nothing even comes close to it anymore.
"Not that I’m in competition with my family. But it’s fun to think about."
Meanwhile, after spending years in reality TV shows, Caitlyn thinks having her life on camera has only helped her relationships with her kids.
She said: "Some of the best conversations I’ve had with my kids have been on camera.
"Because you’re forced into that conversation."
