Bruce Forsyth honoured by National Television Awards

Sir Bruce Forsyth is to have a National Television Award renamed in his honour.
The late, legendary TV presenter passed away in August at the age of 89 following a career in showbiz which spanned more than 75 years, and the NTAs have paid tribute to him by renaming their Entertainment Award as the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award.
Bruce’s wife Lady Wilnelia Forsyth told The Sun newspaper: "My darling Bruce would have been both humbled and delighted.
"Entertainment was his life. The National Television Awards always had a special place in his heart because they’re voted for by viewers.
"The children and I are thrilled his flame will still burn brightly."
In 2011, Bruce was given a Special Recognition Award at the NTAs and admitted it was the "best" prize he had ever received.
He said: "It’s so overwhelming – the best thing I’ve ever won."
A year later he opened the ceremony by performing ‘Let There be Love’ with his pals Ant and Dec, who will go up for the newly-named accolade.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ co-hosts will do battle with ‘Tonight At The London Palladium’ – which Bruce used to host – ‘The Graham Norton Show’ and ‘All Round to Mrs Brown’s’.
In another NTAs first, there is a new category, Crime Drama Award, which is expected to see the likes of ‘Line of Duty’ and ‘Sherlock’ compete against each other.
What’s more, new ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Shirley Ballas and ‘The Great British Bake Off’ newcomer Prue Leith will go up for the Best Judge gong.
