Brooke Vincent has agreed to stay on ‘Coronation Street’ until early next year.
The 23-year-old actress has spent over half her life portraying Sophie Webster in the soap but she’s not ready to walk away from the Cobbles just yet as she’s recently signed a contract that will keep her on-screen until February 2017.
A source said: "’Corrie’ bosses love Brooke and were worried she might be ready to take a break from the show. But they’re delighted she’s signed on the dotted line again as they have much more in store for her character."
Bosses of the long-running soap were keen to dish out another contract to the brunette beauty following fears she would leave for good after securing a nine-week stint as a young mother in the theatre production of ‘Be My Baby’.
The insider explained to The Sun newspaper: "She loves theatre and it is something she wants to explore further. She can’t wait to show her skills off in ‘Be My Baby’."
However, bosses of the show shouldn’t just be worried about Brooke’s love for theatre as she also recently admitted she would love to try her hand at a "gritty" film role in the US.
She said: "I’d give it a go [acting in a film]. I’d love to do a gritty role like ‘Million Dollar Baby’. That’s a great film."
