Bronagh Waugh marries

Bronagh Waugh has got married.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who played Cheryl Brady in the Channel 4 soap from 2009 to 2013 – has tied the knot to her partner Richard Peacock in Somerset, but the couple have not married legally because she refuses to wed until marriage equality becomes law in her native Northern Ireland.
Bronagh posted pictures on Twitter of her and Richard on their big day, she and added the caption: "So THIS happened…
#CelebrationOfLOVE #LoveOfMyLife #NotLegalYet #EqualMarriage (sic)"
Several of her former ‘Hollyoaks’ co-stars took to Twitter to congratulate her on the news.
Anna Passey (Sienna Blake) wrote: "Congrats guys!!@bronaghwaugh you looked INSANELY BEAUT (sic)"
Gemma Bissix (Claire Devine) tweeted: "Your dress is EVERYTHING!! Congratulations (sic)"
Emmett J. Scanlan (Brendan Brady) said Bronagh looked "gorgeous" on her big day, and Gemma Merna (Carmel McQueen) sent her "congratulations" to the couple.
The ‘Fall’ star – whose Canadian mother is gay and in a same-sex marriage – recently admitted she will not marry legally until her mum is able to tie the knot to her partner.
She said: "I’m standing in support and solidarity with my mum.
"I’m getting married in Somerset and we’re having a big party but we’ll not do the legal bit until my mum can, until everyone in Northern Ireland can.
"We’re in the middle of a s**t storm right now in our country.
"I have gay parents and campaign so fervently for equality."
Bronagh has also said it "blows [her] mind" that one part of community can marry but another cannot.
She said: "It is a human right to be able to marry the person you love.
"I cannot bear any group of people in our society to be treated differently.
"To allow one part of the community to get married but not another, because of their sexuality, blows my mind.
"It doesn’t harm anybody. It’s about love."
