Britney Spears wants to record a duet with Selena Gomez.
The 34-year-old pop superstar has gone public with her wish to get in the studio with Selena, 23, by messaging her on Twitter.
Britney was responding to a Snapchat video posted by a Selena Gomez fan account on the social networking site in which the ‘Good For You’ hitmaker is seen saying she has "technically done a duet" with the ‘Toxic’ singer because they appear together on ‘Hands’ – a tribute single dedicated to the victims of the Orlando nightclub shooting in June which also features Meghan Trainor, Pink and Mary J. Blige among others.
Quoting the tweet, Britney wrote: "Technically, yes … But when are we working on our actual duet @selenagomez? (sic)"
Selena is yet to respond to Britney – who unveiled her new single ‘Make Me’, featuring G-Eazy, earlier in July.
It is likely that Selena would be very interested in Britney’s offer because she has been a massive fan since she was a child.
Britney was the first artist the former ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ star ever saw perform live and she has never forgotten going to the concert with her mother Mandy Cornett.
She previously revealed: "I was 11 or 12 when I went to the show. I’m from Texas, so it was in Dallas. We couldn’t really afford to do any of that stuff, but my mom had been saving up because it was the first CD I ever bought. I was absolutely obsessed with Britney. We were in the nosebleeds – it was just … it was awesome."
More recently, Selena went to see Britney at her Las Vegas ‘Piece of Me’ residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
