Britney Spears doesn’t want her sons to experience fame.
The 34-year-old singer – who has Sean Preston, 10, and Jayden, nine, with ex-husband Kevin Federline – admitted the youngster’s think her job is "cool" but they don’t really understand the scrutiny she is under or the attention she always receives.
Speaking on ‘ The Cooper Lawrence Show’ on 106.1 BLI, she said: "I think the magnitude of it and the fame thing, I don’t think they’ve really comprehended what that would even be like.
"Hopefully they never will, because it’s kind of much."
Despite suffering a breakdown in 2007, Britney – who shot to fame when she was just 11 years old as part of the ‘All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ – insists she doesn’t wish she wasn’t famous herself.
Asked if she’d undo her fame, she said: "Um…no regrets."
Last week, the ‘Toxic’ singer released a well-received new album, ‘Glory’ – the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Britney Jean’ – but insists it isn’t a comeback record.
Speaking on ‘Today’, she said: "I don’t see it as a comeback. I think I’ve never really left.
"I’ve always been here. So, just like maybe a reinvention of myself and just a different time in my life – a really good, glorious time."
Britney is kept busy with her ‘Piece of Me’ residency in Las Vegas, and though it is due to end in February, she may add more shows as she enjoys her life there so much.
She said: "I honestly do. It’s like my second home. I’m here for six weeks, then I go home for six weeks. It’s amazing."
The ‘Lucky’ hitmaker previously credited her sons for helping her overcome crippling anxiety.
She said: "Southern girls can be very hard on themselves because you are expected to act in a certain way, you are expected to please people.
"And then I moved to Los Angeles when I was very young. I was so under scrutiny. If a hair was out of place, I’d be so anxious. I would get very anxious about so many things.
"Becoming a mother and being with my boys has made me so much more accepting of myself. I’m their mom, whatever. That has been a really big thing for me over these last few years."
