Brigitte Nielsen: I was blacklisted by Hollywood

Brigitte Nielsen thinks she was "blacklisted" by Hollywood following her split from Sylvester Stallone.
The 55-year-old actress starred in several well-known films during the 1980s, including ‘Cobra’ and ‘Beverly Hills Cop II’ – but she claims worked dried up following her divorce from Stallone in 1987.
She said: "After I left Sylvester, I kind of felt like I was blacklisted for a long time."
In the aftermath of her split from Stallone, she was romantically linked to various people.
And the actress feels that the interest in her love life started to overshadow her career.
She told the Guardian newspaper: "I am almost positive that had I not been in the public eye with this famous man, that would never have happened. But they always thought: after Stallone, who is going to be next?
"I was so angry at the time that I cut up my green card. I was p***ed off. I said: ‘I’m not an American – screw that, I’m out of here!’"
However, Brigitte and Stallone has since "buried the hatchet" – which led to the actress reprising the role of Ludmilla Drago in 2018’s ‘Creed II’.
And the Hollywood star insisted they both approached the film’s shoot in a "professional" manner.
She said: "Sylvester and I kind of buried the hatchet. He was in his American corner, I was in my Russian corner. We were very professional, and it worked out just fine."
