Brendan O’Carroll wants to die on stage as Mrs Brown

Brendan O’Carroll wants to die on stage as Mrs Brown.
The 64-year-old comedy star – who plays the foul-mouthed matriarch Agnes Brown in ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ – has revealed he hopes to "drop dead on the stage" while he’s in character.
He said: "I intend to drop dead on the stage. It’s my intention to milk this widow to death.
"But that’s the secret of Mrs Brown – just when you think there is nothing to write about there is a new drama."
Brendan also claimed his on-screen character would be well-suited to the demands of lockdown.
He explained to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "She’d have liked to have married a man who she could socially distance from."
Brendan previously revealed he hopes ‘Mrs. Brown’s Boys’ is providing entertainment for people amid the coronavirus lockdown.
The comedy star suggested the hit sitcom could help to lift the mood of the nation during the health crisis.
He said: "People are scared. People are afraid of things like coronavirus and the state of the world. When they get scared they get nostalgic. Mrs. Brown is in tune with that.
"They’re getting a laugh out of it. They go, ‘Oh My God, Mrs. Brown is not worried about coronavirus. She’s not worried about Boris (Johnson). She’s not worried about (Donald) Trump.
"She’s not worried about anything except where the next pound is coming from so she can buy dinner for the kids. She is like us, yet she is not afraid so I can watch this.’"
