Brendan Cole would be ‘right judge’ for Strictly Come Dancing

Brendan Cole thinks he’d be the "right judge" for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 40-year-old professional dancer – who has competed on the ballroom and latin show since 2004 – is hoping the BBC will consider him when they decide who will replace legendary head judge Len Goodman on the next series of the programme.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz at the launch of Cirque du Soleil ‘Amaluna’ show at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Thursday (12.01.17), Brendan – who attended the event with his wife Zoe Hobbs – said: "I would love his job. I don’t think there are many people who don’t want his job. It’s a fantastic job because you never get kicked off. It’s fantastic. The BBC will choose whoever is right for the show. I’m hoping that they’ll be considering me while making that decision."
It seems Brendan – who was partnered with Anastacia for the last series of the show – has had a change of heart since Len left the programme last month as he recently said he wasn’t interested in applying for the role and wouldn’t accept the offer if chosen.
He said at the time: "I would love it. You’d have to do it, it’s amazing. I’m not going for the job, but I would love the job. Len is irreplaceable. Whoever does take the role has to make it their own. With dancing there is so much responsibility on your shoulders to make it right for your partner for yourself, a different routine every week. It’s more the mental side of things you’ve got to coax them through. I felt it very easy to be honest and I know what I’m talking about."
