Brendan Cole admits ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is "hideous" if you don’t like your celebrity partner.
The 44-year-old ballroom dancer – who left the BBC show back in 2017 – has confessed that the programme can be extremely challenging for the professionals if they don’t manage to build a rapport with their celebrity dance partner.
Brendan said: "If you don’t get on with your partner then ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is the most hideous show.
"You’ve got to spend six, seven, eight, 10 hours with this person that you really don’t like and they don’t like you."
Brendan insisted that the majority of his ‘Strictly’ partners were "lovely" people and a joy to work with.
However, he conceded he wasn’t always able to build good relationships with his on-screen partners.
During his appearance on ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins’, he shared: "I am lucky for the most part, my partners were lovely. I had a great relationship with a lot of them – not all of them, but a lot of them."
Meanwhile, John Fashanu has revealed he wants to compete in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 57-year-old former footballer – who also co-hosted ‘Gladiators’ in the 90s – thinks he would be a "natural" on the dancefloor due to his skills on the pitch.
He shared: "They have asked me to do it two or three times but when they did, I couldn’t do it.
"I think ‘Strictly’ would be ideal because footballers tend to be natural dancers as well – that’s why so many footballers go to nightclubs."
