Brendan Cole backs boycott of Strictly Come Dancing

Brendan Cole is backing a viewer boycott of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 41-year-old dancer left the popular BBC show in abrupt fashion last week, and the outspoken star has not been shy in expressing his disappointment at the decision, liking a number of tweets from fans who said they plan to boycott the programme.
One of the posts read: "Brendan is definitely the best. I shall not be watching Strictly anymore."
Another message on the micro-blogging website said: "Well doubt I’ll be watching @ bbcstrictly this year. (sic)"
Brendan has admitted to being shocked by the decision to axe him from the show, saying he’s "disappointed" by the BBC.
Speaking last week, he confessed: "It’s very hard to talk about. It’s a recent decision."
The New Zealander subsequently took aim at the show’s bosses, admitting he was being pushed out before he felt ready to leave ‘Strictly’.
He said: "The BBC would have been happy if I’d said I’d wanted to leave the show and have my pride intact.
"But that’s not me. I don’t lie. I’m definitely upset. This is not something I wanted.
"I thought I had a few more years in me. I wasn’t ready to hang up the old dancing shoes."
Brendan’s final appearance on the show saw him partner with ‘Good Morning Britain’ host Charlotte Hawkins.
And the 42-year-old TV star believes that Brendan’s axing will leave him with a big hole in his life.
She explained: "It’s difficult for him, because for years it’s been a massive part of his life."
