Boy George has turned down ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ on numerous occasions – because of the clothing.
The ‘Voice’ mentor has admitted he’s been approached by bosses of the jungle-based show several times over the years but has always rejected their offers because he doesn’t think he’d be able to cope with the lack of gear.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, he explained: "There would be serious clothing restrictions in the jungle."
But it’s not just his limited wardrobe that would spark a meltdown for the eccentric star as he also believes the starvation on the show, which sees contestants live on a basic diet of rice and beans, would send him crazy as well.
He added: "I’d have to get certain hats made and I couldn’t get over the food. I would have a problem with that."
However, even if George does agree to compete on the show one day, the 54-year-old singer won’t be heading to the Australian outback any time soon as he currently has his hands tied up with judging on ‘The Voice’.
But it’s not yet known if the Culture Club frontman will follow the popular BBC One programme when it moves across to rival broadcasting channel ITV next year.
