Boris Johnson’s sister is reportedly being eyed up for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The Foreign Secretary has just watched his father Stanley Johnson win over the hearts of the nation on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ and now his sibling Rachel is keen to throw herself into the limelight by joining the forthcoming series of the reality TV show when it hits television screens at the beginning of January.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Bosses want this year’s show to be quite different. There are lots of intelligent, cultured people going in, all with strong opinions. People have been chosen because they might clash — but hopefully there’ll be heated debate and discussion rather than just screaming and storming out. Rachel is a great signing and fits the bill."
Not much is known about the new series of ‘CBB’ but it’ll hit screens on January 2, 2018, and will see an all-female cast head into the iconic house in commemoration of 100 years since women won the right to vote before men join a few days later.
A statement from Channel 5 said: "Presented by Emma Willis, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will initially explore how the all-female housemates interact, from politicians to performing artists, as they enter the house first, ahead of the celebrity male housemates. Over the course of the series, as the male counterparts enter the house, the housemates will take part in a series of entertaining tasks and hidden experiments which will test their – and our – assumptions, challenge gender stereotypes and reveal fascinating truths about what it is to be a woman – and man – in the 21st century."
The line-up is yet to be confirmed but it’s thought Gogglebox’s Sandra Martin has been approached, as has Britain’s first transgender newsreader India Willoughby.
