Blake Lively: Sisterhood 3 wouldn’t be for teenagers

A third ‘Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants’ movie wouldn’t be for a teenage audience.
Blake Lively – who plays Bridget in the hit movie and its sequel – has teased a new instalment would have to "honour the story and the legacy".
Speaking on SiriusXM’s Entertainment Weekly Radio, she said: "The four of us are still best friends and to be able to create something together again has always been a dream of ours. But it would have to be something that really made sense. If you wait this long to do a third movie, it needs to honour the story and the legacy.
"We wouldn’t be making a movie for 16-year-olds again. We would be making a movie trusting that our audience grew up with us. I think that would be really interesting to explore."
Meanwhile, co-star Amber Tamblyn previously revealed a sequel is "definitely in the works".
She said: "I have no information about that right now. But I can obviously tell you that something is definitely in the works."
And Amber hasn’t ruled out the idea of possibly directing Blake and her other co-stars America Ferrera and Alexis Bledel one day.
She added: "I actually have a role for America that I’ve had in mind for a long time. I would love nothing more than to just be working with them for the rest of my life."
America first teased fans about a sequel back in January 2015 and thinks it would be "wonderful" to do another movie.
She said: "It’s actually very much in the works. There’s a fifth book, and what’s wonderful about it is, and the series to begin with, is that it’s really raw and honest about friendship and how hard it can be and how it changes as you grow up.
"We love each other, and we love this series, and we are so proud of the work that we did together that it would be wonderful to come back at do another one."
