Blake Lively hosts 40th party for Ryan Reynolds

Blake Lively hosted a 40th birthday party for husband Ryan Reynolds at their favourite Japanese restaurant.
The 29-year-old actress has gushed about the Hollywood hunk – who celebrated the milestone on Sunday (23.10.16) – following a night out with him at the New York City eatery O Ya, the same chain where they had one of their first dates in Boston.
She wrote on Instagram: "We fell in love at your restaurant in Boston. We stay in love at your restaurant in NY. Thank you for the BEST food and memories! You are our FAVORITE!! Another happy birthday with @vancityreynolds . Hey, Reynolds, I like you a whle lot. Just sayin’… (sic)"
The star’s caption was attached to a picture of the couple – who married in 2012 – embracing amid 40th birthday balloons and streams.
Ryan also took to the social media site to praise Blake for hosting the event and thank their kids, 22-month-old daughter James, and their three-week-old second child, whose name and sex is as-yet unknown, for not "ruining everything".
Adding a caption to a picture of the couple with comical birthday masks on, he wrote: "Best. Birthday. Everrrrr. Courtesy of my wife, buddy, and international spy, @blakelively. With huge thanks to my favorite restaurant in NYC, @_o_ya_ — and a special shout out to our children for not ruining everything like they planned. (sic)"
Blake and Ryan met while shooting 2011 movie ‘Green Lantern’ and purchased a home in New York in June 2012 before tying the knot in South Carolina three months later.
Their second child was born at a Manhattan hospital at the end of the September, while James was welcomed into the world in December 2014, a date which was revealed a year afterwards from one of Ryan’s tweets.
Last week, Ryan tweeted about his daughter having a mobile above her crib, but it isn’t known if he was referring to James or whether the couple’s second child is also a girl.
He wrote: "The mobile above my daughter’s crib is just a whole bunch of NuvaRings. So she remembers how lucky she is. (sic)"
