Billie Piper has been granted a quickie divorce from her husband Laurence Fox.
The 33-year-old actress was awarded a decree nisi on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour in a legal ruling that took just 50 seconds at the Central Family Court on Thursday morning (12.05.16).
District Judge Yvonne Gibson made the ruling on the basis the marriage had "irretrievably broken down" and that Billie found it "intolerable" to live with Laurence, 37.
The petition was filed in the starlet’s full name Billie Paul Piper against Laurence Paul Fox. Neither of them were present for the hearing.
The former couple first met in 2006 when they performed together in the stage play ‘Treats’ and they went on to marry in December 2007 and have two sons, Winston, seven and Eugene, four.
Their split was confirmed back in March, when the actor-and-musician announced on his Facebook page the eight-year marriage was over.
The post read: "Laurence Fox and Billie Piper have separated. No third parties are involved. For the sake of our family we request and appeal for space and privacy at this time."
Billie – who was previously married to TV and radio presenter Chris Evans from 2001 until 2007, splitting in 2004 – can currently be seen in TV series ‘Penny Dreadful’, in which she plays Brona Croft alongside Josh Hartnett. After swapping pop for acting she made her name for herself as an actress playing Rose Tyler in ‘Doctor Who’ and Belle de Jour in ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’.
Laurence – who played Detective Inspector James Hathaway in police drama ‘Lewis’ for several years – is currently focusing on launching a music career and is touring his album ‘Holding Patterns’.
