Bill Roache knows who tried to kill Ken Barlow

Bill Roache is the only person who knows who tried to kill Ken Barlow in ‘Coronation Street’.
The 84-year-old actor – who plays the patriarch of the Barlow family – is reportedly the only member of the ITV show’s cast to know who was responsible for pushing Ken down the stairs in shocking scenes aired earlier this week.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "A lot of the cast have been asking to not know who is guilty, so they don’t change how they act on screen. They also like playing along. But Bill has just had another batch of scripts sent to him, so he now has worked out who it is.
"For now Bill is keeping his lips sealed about who is the guilty party. It is the source of lots of conversation backstage at the moment. It has really grabbed the attention of the cast and viewers."
It comes after Bill admitted only a few days ago that everyone was on edge waiting to find out what happened to Ken.
He said: "I’m getting up the nose of a lot of people … We don’t know but we’ve got scripts coming up soon where we will find out so it’s going to be very interesting."
However, there are many suspects in the frame including his daughter Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) and his son Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne).
Kate said: "She definitely could have done it, but did she do it? He said some pretty upsetting things. She’s got form for violence."
Whilst Chris added: "The thing is, I don’t know genuinely who did it. It could be any one of us so we don’t know. Yes, there’s a possibility he could have done it. He’s furious at Ken and he’s been chipping away at him for a while."
And villain Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) has also been added to the list of suspects after Ken accused him of doing a botched job on the family’s kitchen.
Connor shared: "Can you believe it, besmirching my reputation. It doesn’t take much to set Pat off. He’s always been good at hiding in plain sight but he could be too obvious. He can take the hump very easily so he’s a definite possibility."
