‘Big Brother’ bosses have held a meeting with some of the show’s super-fans in a bid to improve ratings.
Channel 4 producers are said to have met with a group of supporters to discuss ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and the civilian show – which are hosted by Emma Willis – in an attempt to raise the viewing figures.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "It isn’t unknown for producers to meet super-fans to get a gauge of how a show will be received, but to do it before a series even starts speaks volumes.
"While they may not have reigned ‘CBB’ beyond 2018, Channel 5 are determined to make the upcoming series ones to remember. Behind the scenes there is a whole new production team – as well as new people in change of scouting housemates.
"There is a feeling that this it is – this is their final chance."
Voiceover legend Marcus Bentley confirmed via a Twitter snapshot that he will narrate the show once more.
Marcus posted a snap inside a recording booth saying: "Exciting! My first @bbuk recordings of the summer! A fabulous competition and some thrilling and tantalising housemate teasers! Coming your way soon – watch this space. (sic)"
Several stars have been linked to the upcoming celebrity series, including former Liverpool and Arsenal footballer Jermaine Pennant, psychic Sally Morgan, last year’s ‘Love Island’ contestant Gabby Allen, and newlywed royal Meghan Markle’s estranged sister Samantha Markle.
Charlotte Dawson, the daughter of late comedian Les, and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro dancer Brendan Cole have also been linked to the series.
