Big Brother bosses to mix stars and civilians for series

‘Big Brother’ bosses are reportedly planning to shake up the forthcoming series by adding celebrities in to the mix.
Channel 5 producers are frantically trying to persuade reality TV stars from the likes of ‘Made in Chelsea’, ‘Googlebox’ and ‘The Only Way is Essex’ to join the infamous house when the civilian series returns to screens for three weeks next month.
A source told NOW magazine: "The producers have been approaching people from ‘Gogglebox’, ‘TOWIE’ and ‘Ex On The Beach’ and have some great names lined up."
But, although organisers are keen to mingle the general public with the rich and famous in the abode, it seems the two groups won’t have too much interaction with one another as bosses have promised the stars they will "split up the house."
Meanwhile, this may be the first time celebrities have been offered huge-figure deals to join the show, which is fronted by Emma Willis, but it won’t be the first time the civilian series has been bombarded by stars as eight years ago house guests had their abode taken over in the ‘Celebrity Hijack’.
And, in 2010, bosses threw together contestants from the star-based show and the civilian version for the ‘Ultimate Big Brother’ episode as a celebratory wave goodbye to Channel 4.
