Bez wants to compete on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 51-year-old music legend, whose real name is Mark Berry, believes he’s got what it takes to lift the glitterball trophy and is begging producers to sign him up to the next series of the BBC One ballroom and Latin programme.
He explained: "Strictly Come Dancing?’ I’d have a top time and give it 100 per cent. I reckon I could go all the way…dancing has made me famous, and entertaining people is what I do best. I’ve lost count of the number of blokes who’ve come up to me over the years and said ‘thanks for making it OK for indie guys to get on the dance floor.’ "
Meanwhile, this won’t be the first time Bez – who has declared himself bankrupt twice – has tried his hand at a reality TV show as he also competed on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2005.
The rocker – who is known for his obscure dance moves when he’s on stage – won the series and believes he was such a hit with the public because he’s such a "decent bloke."
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I’m a man of the people, a man for all people. I reckon that’s why I won ‘Celebrity Big Brother’. People saw the real me, a decent bloke.
"I always deliver on my promises, and I can promise that doing ‘Strictly’ would be as much of an entertaining laugh for the viewers at it would be for me. Bring it on; I’m well up for it!"
