Beyonce raised $27,500 at a charity auction by selling the hat she wore in her ‘Formation’ video.
The chart-topping singer donated the signed item – which features in the video to the song from her 2016 album ‘Lemonade’ – to a Heritage Auction that benefits the The Lung Transplant Project, a non-profit organisation that provides support to lung transplant recipients.
The hat features a wide brim and a black ribbon, as well as her signature alongside the words: "All my Love (sic)"
Initially, the item was expected to sell for less than $2,000, but several bidders became involved with the auction, which meant that the hat ultimately sold for an eye-watering $27,500.
Elsewhere at the same auction, Pharrell donated two pairs of adidas Originals and they sold for a combined sum of $11,375, having originally been expected to sell for around $1,000.
One of the pairs featured a hot pink colour and alongside the ‘Happy’ hitmaker’s signature, Pharrell wrote: "Let the universe in. Please don’t make excuse (sic)"
On the same pair of eye-catching sneakers, he also said: "We are nothing without GOD. The universe is one. (sic)"
Meanwhile, Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, recently revealed that her daughter’s twins are "very different".
The 36-year-old beauty and her husband Jay Z welcomed daughter Rumi and son Sir into the world in June and their proud grandmother adores being around the "cute" youngsters.
Tina – whose daughter also has five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy with Jay – said: "They’re doing great. They are absolutely beautiful and so much fun. I mean, I haven’t ever been around twins, but it’s so cute, I can hardly take it.
"Yes, [it’s crazy] … it’s just really, really different with two babies. I mean, a boy and a girl. Very different personalities."
