Beyonce slays despite on-stage injury

Beyoncé continued to perform at the TIDAL X: 1015 concert on Saturday (15.10.16) even after she started bleeding.
During her performance of ‘Haunted’ at the star-studded concert at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, Beyoncé’s long braid appeared to catch on her earring and rip it out, leaving her with a bleeding ear.
However, the 35-year-old singer – who performed with holograms of herself during the show – calmly wiped away the blood and continued her performance, to the delight of the crowd.
TIDAL, the subscription-based music service owned by stars including Jay Z, Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Calvin Harris, held the concert in New York on Saturday to benefit education.
Featuring performances from Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Lauryn Hill, T.I., Alicia Keys, Common, Lil Yachty and Dave East, 100 per cent of ticket sales will be donated to charities including Jay Z’s Sean Carter Foundation and Usher’s New Look.
The Robin Hood Foundation, which works to "to raise awareness, and funds in order to create positive social impact focusing on education initiatives around the world", also benefits from the concert.
This is the second show of its kind; in 2015 TIDAL X: 1020, featured stars including Lil Wayne, Usher and Nick Jonas.
Meanwhile, earlier this week Nicki spoke about her previous collaborations with Beyoncé, saying: "Every time Bey and I do something together, I see how women are inspired, and it has nothing to do with how we look.
"It has to do with how we are owning who we are and telling other women you should be the boss of your own career and the brains behind your life or your decisions or your art. I just love that feeling."
