Bev Callard has urged Lorraine Kelly to "bully" ‘Coronation Street’ bosses into bringing Charlie Lawson and Nicholas Cochrane back to the cobbles.
The 61-year-old actress – who plays Liz McDonald on the ITV soap – would love to see Charlie, who plays her ex-husband Jim McDonald, and Nicholas, who portrayed the pair’s son Andy McDonald, head back to Weatherfield to complete their family alongside Simon Gregson (Steve McDonald).
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, she said: "Listen, you’ve got to bully the producer and the writers. I would love Charlie to come back and I know he would love to, too.
"But we so want Nick, who played Andy, to come back as well. We’d love the four of us to all be together again."
Show host Lorraine added: "That would be fantastic, let’s campaign for that."
Bev is also keen for the storyliners to pen a plot which would see Liz and her nemesis Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) join forces to wreak revenge on Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley) after he slept with Liz behind his wife’s back.
She said: "I so didn’t want Liz to sleep with a married man. But I think Johnny is more to blame than anyone.
"I think Liz and Jenny should get together and get their revenge on Johnny. This is strong women we’re talking about, it’s all his fault."
But when Bev isn’t on the cobbles she is rehearsing for her role as the Narrator in ‘The Rocky Horror Show’, which she will star in from next week.
She added: "Next week I’m in Weatherfield and I’m in Transylvania in the evening.
"I think they [the ‘Corrie’ cast] are all going to come along on different days, so that’s nervewracking, too."
