Benedict Cumberbatch has been helping Judge Rinder with his routines on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ITV barrister – whose full name is Robert Rinder – has recruited his close friend to help him master his facial expressions on the dance floor to ensure he lifts the prestigious glitterball trophy next month.
Speaking on the ballroom and latin programme’s spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’ on Thursday (17.11.16) night, he said: "He [Benedict] did help me with some faces for my Paso Doble, to get into the dramatic performance of it, and we improved that week, so…"
While the ‘Sherlock’ star might be the culprit for Judge Rinder’s comedic face expressions on the show, he has admitted he can’t take any praise for his friend’s energetic dance moves as he previously revealed he is "nowhere near his standards" and is adamant he’d never join the programme.
Previously praising his friend’s moves, he shared: "He’s a friend, I am so proud of him! I watched a bit of [his court show] ‘Judge Rinder’ but I know Rob Rinder and watching him on this is phenomenal."
Benedict met Rinder at university in Manchester and they’ve been friends ever since.
The Hollywood hunk even asked the law professional to be his best man at his wedding when he tied the knot with his beautiful partner Sophie Hunter last year.
A source said at the time: "Benedict had three best men, but only one was famous – and that was Judge Rinder. There was speculation that he chose another actor, but he wanted genuine old friends in the role. They kept it pretty quiet. They were friends before either found fame."
