Ben Cohen knocks out two teeth on The Jump

Ben Cohen has knocked out two teeth and punctured his lip after he took a tumble while training on ‘The Jump’.

The former rugby star required 20 stitches after he ploughed into the pads – placed at the side of the slopes to prevent serious injury – on the Austrian ski run while whizzing down the course in practice for Sunday night’s (28.02.16) live show.

Taking to his Twitter account today (26.02.16), the hunky sportsman uploaded a photograph of his swollen lip and bloody stitches alongside the caption: "Morning!! Back skiing today after my accident. 20 stitches and 2 lost teeth. I actually used my face to stop me. Totally unplanned though (sic)."

Despite his painful injury, the 37-year-old star will be well enough to compete in the show at the weekend.

A spokesperson for the Channel 4 ski show said: "Ben will be fine for Sunday and is taking part in the show."

Meanwhile, Ben is the latest celebrity to require medical assistance this series after Joe Swash, Linford Christie, Beth Tweddle, Mark-Francis Vandelli, Rebecca Adlington, Tina Hobley and Louisa Lytton were also rushed to hospital with injuries.

Beth and Mark’s wounds were among the worst as the gymnast suffered a broken back when she smashed into a bollard, while the ‘Made in Chelsea’ star snapped his ankle competing in the snow cross challenge.
