Bella Hadid and The Weeknd will rekindle their romance when the time is right for them both.
The 21-year-old model and the ‘Starboy’ hitmaker called time on their romance in November 2016, but after The Weeknd – whose real name is Abel Tesfaye – ended his relationship with Selena Gomez last year, the pair are believed to have gotten back in touch.
And sources have now claimed that whilst the former couple are not yet dating again, it is "only a matter of time" before they decide to try again.
An insider said: "It’s only a matter of time that they get back together … That has definitely not been ruled out … They know it’s all about timing … When they are both ready to get back together, they will."
The Weeknd, 28, was reportedly "hit really hard" by the news that his former flame Selena had rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber after her split from the ‘I Can’t Feel My Face’ singer, and after spending some time recollecting his thoughts, he’s said to be ready to move on.
The insider added to Us Weekly magazine: "The whole Selena and Justin thing hit The Weeknd really hard … After they got back together and that finally set in, he wanted to go dark for a bit and keep a low profile. He had his phase of going out and partying, but then really started to miss Bella again. They definitely still keep in touch and they still totally love each other."
It comes after sources previously revealed the pair were close to rekindling their romance, as they are said to be in constant contact.
A source said: "They aren’t back together, but it could happen eventually. She is still in love with him and would love if things worked out. They have been talking and have seen each other. But it’s about logistics and what makes sense and they both have very busy schedules that put them all over the map."
Whilst a second source added: "They definitely have a lot of chemistry and love for each other. It’s easy between them, and they are very comfortable. Once Abel split with Selena, he knew he could rely on Bella to be there."
