Backstreet Boys in the studio working on new LP

Backstreet Boys are in the studio working on their long-awaited 10th studio LP.
Singer Nick Carter has revealed that while the boy band – also including Brian Littrell, A. J. McLean, Howie Dorough and Kevin Richardson – have been helping country music duo Florida Georgia Line with one of the songs on their third LP ‘Dig Your Roots’, they’ve also been laying down tracks for their next record.
Taking to Instagram on Monday (27.06.16), he wrote: "In the studio with my @backstreetboys recording a song for @flagaline new album. Also working on the new backstreet album as well. Get ready!!! (sic)"
Singer Brian, 41, also took to Instagram with a shot in the studio and said the collaboration with the duo – comprised of Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard – is an entirely new experience for them.
He wrote: "In the Lab … Doing something we’ve never done before … BSB feature FGL … Great record … Comes out late August … (sic)"
News of the boy band joining forces with Florida Georgia Line comes after they performed a cover of their 1997 hit ‘Everybody’ which was praised by Nick, who later met up with pair at the CMA Festival in Nashville earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Backstreet Boys are gearing up for a "test run" of nine Las Vegas residency shows.
Nick, 36, previously revealed: "We have a deal with Live Nation, which is the touring company, and we just signed a nine-show deal to do sort of like a test run in Vegas with the residency. So that’s definitely going to happen, but we’re going to do a trial run first."
And if they land the residency, he says it will be a "spectacular show" of all their biggest hits.
He said: "It would definitely have to be a very big and spectacular show. Thankfully, we have a good catalogue so we can perform all of our hits. That could take up a lot of the show."
The ‘I Want It That Way’ hitmakers’ last studio album was 2013’s ‘In a World Like This’.
A release date for their new record is yet to be announced.
