Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field is reportedly set to join him on ‘The X Factor’ judging panel.
It was recently revealed the ‘Let Me Entertain You’ singer is being lined up to replace Louis Walsh as a judge on the ITV singing talent show, but it seems the hunk will only accept the deal offered by Simon Cowell if his spouse can join him.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "She thinks doing the show with Robbie will be a lot of fun – particularly as she wants to beat her husband at his own game. She can’t wait to get started."
Robbie, 44, and Ayda, 39, would join Simon, 58, on the 15th series of the show, replacing departing judges Louis, 65, and Nicole Scherzinger, 39.
Actress Ayda’s knowledge of the music industry comes from her 12 years with Robbie.
The couple were introduced in 2006 by a mutual friend and married three years later.
They have two children – five-year-old daughter Teddy and three-year-old son Charlton – together.
Although Ayda’s signing may come as a shock to fans, the ‘Loose Women’ panellist is actually close to Simon’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their children are pals.
Meanwhile, Robbie’s former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, 47, was a judge on ‘The X Factor’ between 2011 and 2013.
It has been reported that Sharon Osbourne, 65, will return to the next series of the ‘The X Factor’, but possibly in a new role. She is not expected to take part in the auditions stages.
Robbie recently revealed he is planning to star in a reality show with his wife and mother-in-law, Gwen, who often features in their Instagram posts.
He said: "There’s something in the making. There’s a format there, it’s just making sure it’s the right one and the right show. Trust me, it will happen — that’s a show I want to watch on TV."
