Verne Troyer died aged 49.
The actor, who was best known for his portrayal of Mini Me in the ‘Austin Powers’ movie franchise, threatened to take his own life just weeks before his death in April.
Troyer was treated at a hospital in Los Angeles for alcohol poisoning after police were told he was suicidal, MailOnline reported.
At the time, a report surfaced online claiming the star had been admitted to hospital for almost two weeks for alcoholism, but he later took to his social networking sites to play down his health woes and said he was checking into rehab.
