Ashley Roberts wishes Scarlett Moffat good luck for new hosting job

Ashley Roberts has "nothing but well wishes" for Scarlett Moffat when she makes her ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ debut.
The 35-year-old singer was replaced by the former ‘Gogglebox’ star as co-host on the popular ITV show earlier this year after presenting it for three years and, although the blonde beauty has yet to reach out to the 26 year old, she is in full support of Scarlett taking over from her on the upcoming series.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about the ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ champion, she said: "I hope Scarlett has fun with them. There’s nothing but well wishes, there really is.
"I don’t really know Scarlett. I didn’t watch the Jungle, and I haven’t really seen her so I don’t really know her personally. But I’m sure the boys are going to have fun with her, and she’ll have such a fun time."
And the Allyn founder – who launched her footwear label, which was her first venture into the fashion industry, earlier this month – believes comedy duo Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and Scarlett will work well as a trio because they share the "same banter" as they are all from Newcastle.
Ashley said: "I know they’re all Geordies, I know they’ll probably have a good time and have the same banter.
"I absolutely love and adore those boys and we’ve all talked. It’s been a great run. I did four seasons with the boys and it’s been awesome, I love them to pieces. I’ve known for a little while. Everybody reached out to me and we all had a nice discussion and it was handled well. Again, good wishes."
Ashley plans to still tune into the show if she is "sitting alone" on a Saturday night.
She said: "I’m sure, if I’m in London and sitting alone on a Saturday, I’ll tune in for sure. They’re really funny."
However, the former The Pussycat Dolls band member has teased she already has plans in place to join forces with Ant and Dec on a project in the future.
She said: "We all said we are going to work on something in the future."
