Ashley Roberts to host new Comedy Central music show

Ashley Roberts has debuted as the host of the ‘Comedy Central Chart Show’.
The ‘Pussycat Dolls’ star will front the new music-based six part series, which will launched today (12.12.19) with episodes released weekly on the channel’s UK Facebook Watch, YouTube and Instagram platforms.
The satirical show will feature a number of stars from British comedy, including ‘Derry Girls’ star Jamie-Lee O’Donnell, Kiell Smyth-Bynoe (‘Stath Lets Flats’), Jayde Adams (‘Good Omens’), Kg Tha Comedian (‘Timewasters’) and Jason Forbes (‘Tracy Ullman’s Show’).
Each episode of the series features a parody music video, performed by a different comedian – including an "ageing boyband" who have reformed for some extra cash, a pop star trying to appeal to literally everyone and a grime artist trying to escape his crew.
The synopsis for the first episode reads: "Ageing boyband ‘Boys Forever’, have decided to reform for a Christmas single. It might seem like a cynical cash-grab… because it is."
The show’s Digital Executive Producer, Rebecca Hewett, expressed delight that Ashley, 38, would be presenting the show.
She said: "We are so pleased to announce Ashley Roberts as the host for the ‘Comedy Central Chart Show’.
"This series is an exciting new venture into the music parody space, and we have been lucky to work with amazing writers such as Doc Brown and Stefan Abingdon, as well as exciting on-screen talent Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Jayde Adams and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell.
"Get ready to have these hilarious hits stuck in your head for days!"
