Ashley Roberts and Faye Tozer top Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard

Ashley Roberts and Faye Tozer found themselves tied at the top of the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ leaderboard as the Spooktacular returned to screens on Saturday (27.10.18).
The former Pussycat Dolls star and her professional partner Pasha Kovalev wowed with a Troll-themed Charleston to ‘Witch Doctor’ whilst Faye and Giovanni Pernice impressed a Theatre and Jazz routine to ‘Fever’, earning them 39 points each.
Bruno Tonioli said Ashley’s performance was one of the best moments of the whole series whilst Craig Revel Horwood dubbed it "swivelicious", and Shirley Ballas was impressed with the choreography.
Following closely behind was Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton’s ‘Doctor Who’ inspired tango. Craig dubbed the performance as very strong whilst Darcey Bussell was impressed by the attack of the dance.
Meanwhile, three couples found themselves joint bottom of the table – Dr. Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara, Kate Silverton and Aljaž Skorjanec and Seann Walsh and Katya Jones.
Whilst Kate was mainly criticised by the four judges, Shirley felt her body needed more music whilst Bruno asked for more fluidity. Craig felt there needed to be more resistance and tone. Seann and Katya’s Viennese Waltz failed to impress and whilst the duo were praised for their choreography, their dance fell short of expectations.
Lauren Steadman and AJ Pritchard closed the show with a fiery Paso Doble, with the paralympian playing the part of the Evil Queen from ‘Snow White’.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ returns on Sunday (28.10.18).
