Ash Sarkar turns down Celebrity Big Brother

Ash Sarkar has rejected an offer to join ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 26-year-old writer – who openly describes herself as left wing and an avid fan of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn – has revealed producers have approached her about the possibility of starring in the Channel 5 reality TV show.
In a post on Twitter – which was accompanied with an email from a ‘CBB’ senior talent producer – Ash responded: "LMAOOOOOOOOOO" (sic)
The editor of left-wing website Novara Media added: "Sorry to disappoint, but if you want to see me get plastered and alienate my friends and family before having an ill-advised dry hump under night-cam, you’ll have to get tickets to a @novaramedia event like everyone else. (sic)"
Despite many people in her comments urging her to make an appearance on the popular show – which is set for return in August – the outspoken Corbyn enthusiast still wasn’t keen on the idea.
She said: "While it’s undoubtedly been my life dream to p*** off the British public and get voted off in Week 3, I’m not missing carnival for anything.
"I would literally rather life leave my body. (sic)"
Other celebs rumoured to be entering the house are Katie Price’s estranged husband Kieran Hayler, The Chuckle Brothers, porn star Stormy Daniels and Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness.
This series’ theme is believed to be "scandal", with a source hinting recently: "In January the theme did really well and now they think the idea of retribution could be a ratings winner.
"They’re still mulling over ideas but this series will be like an extreme therapy session. Everyone going into the house will have done something they regret in the past. There will be scandals and stories they have read about and they’ll get to hear a completely fresh and different side in the house.
"Going on the show will be their way of showing they’re ready to change their ways and that they regret what they did. In terms of how it’s going to come across on screen, it should be absolutely unmissable viewing."
