Asan N’Jie’s Twitter account has been taken down.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actor was fired from the ITV soap – on which he played Ellis Chapman – last week following a heated bust-up with Jamie Lomas at the TV Choice Awards, and now his Twitter page, @AsanNjie, no longer appears.
Upon searching his username, a message reads: "When This account doesn’t exist
Try searching for another."
‘Emmerdale’ bosses sacked Asan just two days after the incident with the ‘Hollyoaks’ actor.
During the brawl, Asan, 25, and Jamie, 44, squared up to one another and Asan shouted: "Do you think you are a f***ing big man, I’m going to f***ing kill you" and "I’m going to f***ing knife you."
‘Emmerdale’ bosses held a meeting with the former ‘Mount Pleasant’ actor two days later, and he was given his marching orders.
A spokesperson said in a statement: "’Emmerdale’ suspended Asan N’Jie yesterday (10.09.19) pending further investigation into an incident at a central London hotel on Monday night.
"ITV executives have met with him this morning and as a consequence Asan’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect."
Asan – who joined the soap in September 2018 – later released a statement of his own, saying sorry to Jamie and everyone connected with ‘Emmerdale’.
He said: "I sincerely apologise to everybody who has been affected especially Jamie Lomas, the whole ‘Emmerdale’ team, our audience, ITV, my family, and the organisers of the TV Choice Awards.
"I am devastated, accept full responsibility for my actions and I am determined to learn from this."
