Anton Du Beke’s son has been hospitalised.
Anton, 53, revealed on Friday (12.06.20) that he had to cancel a planned dance class because George, three, had to have an operation.
He tweeted: "So sorry my loves, I won’t be able to take today’s classes as little George has had an operation and a short stay in hospital – but don’t worry, he’s all ok now! A huge thank you to all the brilliant @NHS Doctors & Nurses for looking after us – you’re all simply amazing. Anton XX (sic)."
Anton did not reveal the nature of the operation or the reasons for George’s surgery.
Meanwhile, the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star recently revealed one of the positives of the recent Covid-19 pandemic was that he had much more time to spend with George and his twin sister Henrietta, who he has with wife Hannah Summers, 43.
Anton explained: "I spend every day with Hannah and the babies and it’s been the most wonderful thing! So if we talk about silver linings, it’s the most wonderful thing.
"It’s just gorgeous and a wonderful thing to be able to do, to spend all of your time with your children and Hannah of course.
"The babies, as you know, people say ‘don’t blink’ because it goes so quick. And it’s absolutely the case, it goes so fast!"
Anton and Hannah welcomed the twins after a "gruelling" IVF process and he previously got emotional when discussing the kids.
He said: "I’m delighted to be able to talk about it because it’s such an incredible thing, being able to be a parent.
"Hannah and I left it a bit later, so we’re slightly older parents.
"I always get emotional when I talk about Hannah. Hannah is a remarkable mum and wife. She’s the most brilliant person I’ve ever met.
"For me as a man, and everything is from my own personal perspective of a man, I didn’t know whether I wanted to have children or whether that was going to be a thing for me, it wasn’t a subject that was at the forefront of my mind, but what I did know is that if I did have children it would be with the woman I wanted to spend all my life with and it’s Hannah.
"We went to the clinic and discussed it. And we made the decision, ‘This is what we’re going to do and we were absolutely determined.’
"You go along and of course, the process is remarkable. I take my hat off … it’s not even a big enough expression to Hannah and women in general doing this. It’s an incredible thing. The pay-off is so great, of course."
