Anton Danyluk was never serious about Belle Hassan.
The ‘Love Island’ couple just ended their five-week romance but friends of Anton have insisted that he didn’t think it was a proper relationship as he has been too busy to focus on love.
A source told The Sun Online: "Anton always made it clear to Belle that he wants to take things slowly.
"They were just seeing how things went, as far as Anton was concerned it wasn’t a proper relationship as he’s been at home in Scotland and working so much he had no free time."
And the pair ended their relationship over the phone, while Anton was on a break in Ibiza with his friends.
The source added: "He gets back from Ibiza today but he and Belle mutually decided over the phone that they’re better off just being friends moving forward.
"Anton is happy to remain single at the moment as he is so busy, he can’t commit to anybody right now."
It has been claimed that Bella was unimpressed that Anton went to meet Craig David in Ibiza without her but insiders say the meet-up was a surprise arrange by the fitness fanatic’s pals.
The source said: "Anton is such a massive fan of Craig’s and who would turn that down, he is his idol. His friends organised everything and it was the best surprise.
"Anton has been working really hard since he left the villa, he has been on a 40-date tour and is really busy working on a big project which will be announced next week.
"His mates wanted him to take a breather and organised a surprise trip on his only three days off."
Belle, 21, and Anton, 24, finished in fifth place on the ITV2 reality show, narrowly missing out on a place in the final.
The couple met in week four when Belle arrived with a bunch of new girls in the infamous Casa Amor split, and although they remained together for the rest of the series, their time in the villa wasn’t without arguments.
Anton managed to get under Belle’s skin when he gave a checkout girl his phone number during a shopping trip, and angered the blonde beauty again when he named Anna Vakili as the best kisser in the villa during a game.
