Ant McPartlin has reportedly moved out of his marital home in a bid to save his marriage.
The 41-year-old television presenter is believed to be temporarily renting a £1.6 million property under the name of a private company, which is located close to his £6 million home in West London where his wife Lisa Armstrong is still staying.
And it is rumoured Ant’s decision to move out is because he wants to give his spouse of 11 years some time alone in the hope they can make their romance work in the future, as his recent stint in rehab, following his knee operation, is believed to have taken its toll on the duo.
Ant is believed to have briefly returned to his marital home over the weekend to pick up his dog Hurley, and it has been reported the couple looked "very sad" when they met, especially Lisa who appeared to have the "weight of the world" on her shoulders.
A source told the Mirror Online: "He was unshaven and had black bags under his eyes. After he left, Lisa came out a few minutes later looking tired.
"They both looked really sad. I feel so sorry for them both. They look like they’re having such a hard time.
"She looked like she had the weight of the world on her shoulders as she walked through the park. She genuinely looked upset. It was very sad."
The news of Ant’s move comes after the ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’ co-host admitted he put his partner "through hell" because of his "mood swings" when he battled with depression and became reliant on alcohol following his recent knee operation.
Speaking previously, the ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ star said: "I’ve put Lisa through hell with mood swings and depression and how it affects you.
"I’m very sorry about the effect it has on partners. This kind of stuff puts strains on any marriage.
"In hindsight, I should have mentioned it earlier but you’re embarrassed about it."
