Ant McPartlin is building a swimming pool in the garden of his £6 million home.
The ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ star and his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett have been granted planning permission from the council to make the proposed changes to their seven-bedroom property in Wimbledon, South West London.
As quoted by The Sun newspaper, Ant’s planning agent said: "The existing rear garden is a good size with a boundary fence around the sides of the property with mature trees on all sides adding to the privacy.
"There is very little overlooking possible between ground floors of neighbouring properties.
"The rear garden is very secluded and the proposed swimming pool and the garden room will not be visible from neighbouring houses."
The plans also include two single-storey extensions, as well as a garage conversion to a bathroom, while the couple, both 44, will be adding a Victorian-style changing room by the pool.
Meanwhile, the council have green lit the proposed alterations and say they are "designed to reflect the character and appearance of the original building".
A spokesman added: "[The plans will] not harm neighbour amenity."
It was recently revealed that Ant’s TV partner Dec Donnelly earned £5.2 million while his co-star was dealing with addiction issues.
Dec earned £14,000 a day for his TV work, which included presenting ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’ solo alone, going solo for the ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ live shows, and co-hosting ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ with Holly Willoughby.
Publicly-available documents filed at Companies House reveal the 44-year-old presenter made over £5 million from June 2018 to June 2019.
According to The Sun newspaper, it worked out an extra £1,000 a day compared to the previous year.
While around £1 million came from a series of companies he co-owns with Ant, more than £4 million was through his own personal Deecourt Limited firm.
