Anna Wintour hails Amy Schumer

Anna Wintour has attributed Amy Schumer’s popularity to her being a "very human person".
The 66-year-old editor-in-chief of American Vogue has lavished praise on the actress during a speech in Cannes, France, saying Amy is the sort of celebrity that consumers crave.
She explained: "We live in an age that prizes authenticity. Just look at our current Vogue cover girl Amy Schumer, whose success is built on a raw, unfiltered and very human person.
"Bringing personal experience and emotion to the table resonates with audiences … audiences respond to people who dare to be different."
Anna also heaped praise on Beyonce and her new visual album ‘Lemonade’, in which she refers to "Becky with the good hair", which is said to be a reference to a mystery woman who had an affair with her husband Jay Z.
According to the New York Post newspaper, Anna joked: "It is truly an amazing empowering piece of art, unless of course your name happens to be Becky."
This comes shortly Amy revealed she didn’t have sex until she was 17.
The ‘Trainwreck’ star said all her friends were "acting out sexually" years before she was, but she retained her innocence throughout most of her teenage years.
She said: "I was always boy crazy, but I wasn’t promiscuous.
"[My friends] were acting out sexually years before me. I loved being around that, but I didn’t have sex until I was seventeen. And I didn’t give a blow job until I was well into college.
"I’m sure I had some sort of d**k in my mouth, but I wasn’t performing sex acts until later."
But during her days as a student at Towson University in Maryland, Amy adopted a different attitude.
She said: "I lost my self-esteem my freshman year. I think I was maybe in the 25th percentile in hotness. And then in my sophomore year, I probably had sex with six guys, and I was like, maybe I’m like Samantha in ‘Sex and the City’ and I’ll just keep this train movin’ so that I don’t get attached to anybody.
"I always thought that sex was funny. I was always interested in it."
