Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre rekindle romance

‘Love Island’s Anna Vakili and Sherif Lanre have rekindled their romance.
20-year-old chef Sherif’s romance with Anna, 29, was cut short after he "mutually agreed" with the production team to depart the ITV2 reality dating show after breaking the rules during his stint on the programme.
However, since leaving the villa, the pair have grown close again and are set to give their romance another shot.
A source told The Sun Online: "Anna has been messaging Sherif on a friendly basis.
"He’s got the hots for her and was really enjoying spending time with her when they met up [recently]."
And friends insist that Sherif is smitten with Anna.
An insider said: "Anna made an impression on Sherif the moment he first set eyes on her, since being booted from the villa Sherif has gone on a string of dates but he’s always had Anna on his mind.
"He even dated an Anna lookalike, he’s messaged her a few times since being out the villa."
Meanwhile, Sherif revealed he was axed from ‘Love Island’ after accidentally kicking Molly-Mae Hague in the crotch and calling it a "c*** punt".
The reality star lifted the lid on his abrupt exit from the show, revealing he regretted making the vile joke that led to him leaving the villa.
He confessed: "I’ve been stupid and let myself down."
Despite his regret, Sherif insisted he never intended to cause any serious offence.
He said: "I have never used the word before and I realise how insulting it is to women.
"As someone raised by a strong and loving mother, I want to say that I would never intentionally offend women. I was completely wrong and I apologise."
Sherif also slammed the show’s bosses, arguing he was the victim of "unconscious racism".
He said: "I was the only black man in the villa and I was kicked out after 10 days. In my opinion, what happened was unconscious racism.
"There was, I felt, sexism. I feel I wouldn’t have been given that red card if I was a white woman."
