Anna Nightingale says viewers will see a different side to Kim Tate

Anna Nightingale has revealed viewers will see a new side to Kim Tate in tonight’s (03.12.19) ‘Emmerdale’.
The soap star has played Andrea Tate since June 2019, and her fate is about to change in a dramatic storyline that sees her on-screen mother-in-law threatening to destroy her marriage.
In the hour-long episode, Kim (Claire King) discovers the DNA results that may or may not reveal who the father of Andrea’s daughter, and she sets off to confront her daughter-in-law but is stopped in her tracks when she finds her in trouble.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Anna explained: "Andrea knows that Kim has done this DNA test and the results will be looming, but she feels that her pregnancy will be something to hold onto, regardless of what the results might be.
"Kim appears and is chasing her about this, but Andrea is not feeling well. Kim appears at the office and Andrea is bleeding – she’s not in a good way.
"Kim is really supportive and human, which takes Andrea by surprise. It’s a real nice woman-to-woman moment, where Kim is really supporting Andrea."
Jamie Tate – played by Alexander Lincoln – rushes to his wife’s side and Kim gets a glimpse at how her vengeance could destroy her son’s family.
Anna continued: "He’s distraught, destroyed and so worried for Andrea. You see such a nice moment between them and how much they do care for each other.
"Kim sees that too. Regardless of what’s going on, it shows how strong their love is for each other."
Meanwhile, after only being on the ITV soap opera for a few months, Anna is excited to be part of the dramatic Christmas story line.
She added: "There’s some exciting stuff at Home Farm coming up. It’s very exciting being part of the Christmas story this year. It’s very surreal. I almost feel like I’ve had Christmas already!"
