Angela Griffin says ‘White Lines’ won’t return for a second series.
The 44-year-old actress starred as Anna Connor in the mystery thriller series on Netflix, but Angela has now hinted that the drama – which centred on an unsolved murder in Ibiza – isn’t returning for a second season.
She shared: "Will there be a series two of ‘White Lines’? I don’t think so. I wish there was but it’s very quiet on the ‘White Lines’ hotline."
Angela would love to reprise her role on the show, but she doubts whether she’ll be making another ‘White Lines’ series.
The actress told an online Q&A for the West End’s Theatre Royal Haymarket: "My gut feeling is that it was left in a place where it is nicely tied up. I think that is where it is going to stay. Sorry to say."
In June, Angela admitted she didn’t know whether ‘White Lines’ would be commissioned for a second series.
The Netflix drama – which also starred the likes of Laura Haddock, Nuno Lopes, Marta Milans and Laurence Fox – was a huge hit with fans around the world, but Angela was unsure whether it would return for another season.
Speaking about the prospect of making a second series, the actress said: "I mean, I really, really want there to be another one. It’s such an amazing show to be part of.
"And it’s done so well! We were top 10, I think, up until the day before yesterday, in the UK. We made it number one all over the world. The Netherlands, Germany … I think at one point we were number one in 41 countries."
