Amy Schumer has recorded a special message in praise of ‘Love Island’ star Maura Higgins.
The Hollywood actress is a self-confessed fan of the ITV show, and Amy has now thrown her support behind Maura, describing the brunette beauty as her "homie".
In a teaser of the video message – which will air later today (07.07.19) – Amy says: "I’m loving this season of ‘Love Island’. I want to give a shout out to Maura. She’s just like my homie, I feel very connected to her."
Maura previously admitted to having feelings for Curtis Pritchard, telling Lucie Donlan that she was smitten with the dancer.
She shared: "He’s obviously gorgeous. He’s very manly and I love that. He’s funny. He’s the whole package for me."
Prior to her confession, Maura and Curtis had a chat in the kitchen, when a white feather landed next to them on the surface.
She told him: "They say that a white feather in an angel close by trying to tell you something. Have you not heard about that?"
Meanwhile, Amy has previously voiced her support for other ‘Love Island’ contestants, praising Megan Barton Hanson in 2018 for speaking candidly about her depression and anxiety troubles.
She also labelled Dr Alex George "vile" for his behaviour towards ex-partner Alexander Cane.
