Amy-Leigh Hickman would "never say never" about returning to ‘EastEnders’.
The ‘Safe’ star played Star ‘Linzi’ Bragg in two short stints in the BBC One soap from 2016 to 2017, and she would be up for returning to the programme after meeting some of her best friends on the show, Tilly Keeper (Louise Mitchell), and Jasmine Armfield (Rebecca Fowler).
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I’d never say never about returning.
"It’s weird because that show is still in so much of my personal life. It’s where I met the people who are my best friends now.
"So I always associate that job with a lot of happiness. Never say never, I really enjoyed my time there. I see a lot of Tilly and Jasmine, and Shaheen."
Lorraine Stanley played Thelma Bragg, the 20-year-old actress’ on-screen mum, in the soap before being re-cast in the show as her current character Karen Taylor, and Amy-Leigh is "really pleased" ‘EastEnders’ bosses decided to keep her pal on permanently.
The ‘Ackley Bridge’ star said: "She didn’t do much playing my mum but she’s so talented and she’s so good. I think they just saw her and thought, ‘There’s so much more we can do with this woman because she is so fab.’
"I’m so pleased for her because she is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet and because of Tilly and Jasmine I always ask how she’s doing and she does with me.
"I’m really pleased for her because her role on ‘EastEnders’ is so perfect for her. She’s fab, she really is. She is great."
The full series of ‘Safe’ is available on Netflix now.
