Amy Childs had a panic attack on ‘Celebrity MasterChef’.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star is currently shooting the cooking show, which will hit screens next week, but she has admitted she was struck with anxiety when she first stepped into the programme’s kitchen because it was an environment she’s not familiar with.
She explained: "It was a really hard show, but I’ve learnt so much from it. I feel really brave.
"I’ve done ‘TOWIE’, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and ‘The Jump’ but ‘MasterChef’ was so different. At times it was very intimidating. I had a panic attack at first but I took it so seriously. I put all my time into it."
The 26-year-old beauty – who is known for her ditzy outbursts – hasn’t had much experience when it comes to whipping up fresh grub but she was thrilled by how quickly she picked things up.
She said: "I couldn’t really cook. Going on the show, I thought, ‘Oh my God, what am I doing?’ But I went to a five-star restaurant and cooked rabbit for 30 people, and I made my own pastry."
Meanwhile, although the feisty redhead is no stranger to reality TV, she has admitted she’ll think more carefully before she signs up to another show in the future because she wants to make sure it’s "right."
She added to Star magazine: "It’s opened so many doors already, but I don’t want to do any old show – it has to be right. That’s why I did ‘MasterChef’. You get to see a completely different side to me."
