Amelia Lily says it has been "so exciting" working on her debut album.
The ‘X Factor’ UK star – who came third place in the talent show in 2011 – has signed a new deal with East West Records and can’t wait to release her latest single ‘California’ next month.
She said: "Life has never been so exciting – I’ve been busy in the studio writing and recording songs for my upcoming debut album and ‘California’ is where we start.
"I’m so proud to be releasing this music; I have put my heart and soul into writing them. Expect a few surprises along the way though – it’s going to be fun!"
The new single was co-written by Lily and Tim Woodcock, who has penned tracks for the likes of John Newman, The Vamps and The Wanted.
Meanwhile, the 19-year-old singer – who reached number two in the UK Singles chart two years ago with debut single ‘You Bring Me Joy’ – will release her first full-length album later this year, and being signed to a label owned by Warner Music is a big step forward for her.
